Hi, your X300 Linux page is very good. I respond to you call for an mail, because i manged to get output of the mediabase audio speaker. I am to lazy to check the background, but this is how i got some output, even if i was not able to change the volume: Start GNOME and start the GNOME Volume Control Center (the application, not the applet). Go to the Preferences and enable all of the possible switches. Then i have to turn on the IEC958 swich and then mute or turn down the "ICE958 Playback AC97-SPSA" Slider. Thats all :-) I use Fedora Core 4 and it comes with alsa and a (redhat) kernel 2.6.13 (+ swsusp2 + acpi fix). Btw. i noticed that you don't cover software suspend on your page, it is really cool and works good for me. I can get back to my old X11 session within 20-25 seconds when i turn it on. A good page for that is: http://mhensler.de/swsusp/ It is fedora specific, but im sure you can use it with debian, too. The only thing that i cannot get to work is the media base. When i undock my X300 when its running, the Fn key stops working and i can not change the radio kill switch any more. That sucks, but swsuspend is a good workaround for it (suspend, undock, resume). Do you know about any fix for this? ciao, Heinz
